3rd Geospatial Digital Records Preservation Conference, Ljubljana, 8-9 May 2023

As part of the eArchving initiative of the European Commission, the Archives of the Republic of Slovenia, Geoarh and the DLM Forum are organising the 3rd Geospatial Digital Records Preservation Conference on the 8th and 9th of May 2023 in Ljubljana, Slovenia. This is going to be an exciting 2-day hybrid event that will bring together geospatial data producers, archives, data repositories, solution providers and their users.  The theme of this year's conference is Sustainable access to digital geospatial records in the digital future.

Our aim is to connect different stakeholders in this community so they can start sharing their experiences, solutions, challenges, and questions. By doing so we are going to learn from each other. You will be able to join different tracks of presentations, and discussion round tables.

We invite you all to participate in the following topics:
  • Sustainable access to geospatial records in the digital future (geospatial role in the digital economy, AI and GeAI application, Green Transition initiative of EU, etc.);
  • Records about geospatial records (Documentation requirements, metadata, interoperability aspects of sustainable access, applicable standards, etc.);
  • Best practices, tools and solutions for the preservation and reuse of geospatial records time series;
  • Is the future digital and how? (Future needs, issues and ways forward, round table discussion and conclusion).

More information will be available soon.
